Grayson is one of those dogs that just amaze with their beauty. He is such a majestic creature that one look at his fierce eyes will have you hooked. His account @graywoof is as beautiful as he is with shots of Grayson in their hometown of Nevada, which provides amazing background scenery. This husky is one dog that you want to be following.

Hi Kassie! What made you decide for a husky breed?

My entire life, I've been fascinated with wolves. That infatuation fostered a lot of my love for northern breed dogs. Finally, after months of research and years of working towards a place where I was financially ready to have my own dog and had the time to care for it, I started looking for Siberian Husky breeders. Owning a husky was always a dream of mine. I called and talked on the phone with dozens of breeders before deciding on Grayson. He was five weeks old when I first saw his picture and I knew right away he was the one for me. I just felt a strong emotional tug in his direction.

How would you best describe Grayson?

Grayson is a bit contradictory to a typical husky. He is very high energy in the snow, but in any other weather he is extremely laid back. He was very easy to train to walk loose leash and has never minded invasive things like having his teeth brushed. As far as being stubborn and independent, he's a husky through and through. It's just their breed to disregard commands when they see no benefit to themselves. It's a personality that many other dog owners don't experience, but husky owners need to understand before adopting. He's a good boy, but his agenda does tend to come before mine in his eyes. His favorite toys are the kong tennis balls with the squeakers. And his favorite game, much to my dismay, is nosing his ball under the couch and nibbling at me and crying until I get down to fetch it for him. I genuinely think he enjoys watching me fetch his ball for HIM. His guilty pleasure food is cheese, though he rarely gets a taste as it is not the healthiest pup snack. :)

Your photography is amazing. Is this something you have always done?

I didn't really get into photography until adopting Grayson. I leave up every single picture I've taken of him on our Instagram because I like to reflect on my growth as a photographer. Grayson can be a stubborn and difficult subject, so he has definitely pushed my patience and skills in capturing him the way I want to. I don't think I would've ever submerged myself in photography to this degree had Grayson not come into my life. The biggest lesson is one he teaches me everyday: He's such a kind and gentle soul - He reminds me to try to be that way as I move through my life as well. One of my favorite quotes is: "If I could be half the person my dog is, I'd be twice the human I am."

Can you share with us one hilarious Grayson moment?

The thing about Grayson that cracks me up every day is the way I can hear him yodeling from inside when I walk up to my front door. He tends to sit in the front room looking out the front door for my car, and when he finally sees it he breaks out into this absolutely dreadful, high pitched song. It really sounds like a creature screaming. He isn't the most beautiful singer, but hearing him every day when I get home always bring a smile quickly to my face.

What do you love about Lasso?

We love all of our Lasso products! The Skipper and Lasso collars are a few of our favorites. We use the choke style for walking and the jib style for holding tags when we are at home. Both are extremely useful!
